Tribute trio back for one night
Starring three of Australia’s most successful tribute performers, Aaron W. Mansfield (Roy Orbison), Anthony Fenech (Elvis Presley) and Mark Vassallo (Johnny Cash), the show features more than two hours of hits from the originals’ early Memphis and Sun Records years to their personal biggest songs.
The threesome is backed by a seven-piece live band.
Acclaimed as one of the best vocal Roy Orbison tributes, Mansfield has toured in his own right both in Australia and around the world.
He has been a featured artist at The Parkes Elvis Festival and has appeared on the roster during several Royal Caribbean cruises.
Fenech, meanwhile, is originally from Sydney and is considered to be one of the top Elvis tributes in the country, with a particular focus on Presley’s 1950s Sun and Memphis eras.
He is a regular at festivals throughout Australia and New Zealand, and he also performs at theatres and on cruise ships.
And Vassallo has been performing as Johnny Cash with his band Cash Only for 15 years.
He and his band have been a headline act at the Tamworth Country Music Festival for 12 consecutive years, with Vassallo performing songs from Cash’s entire career – from the early Sun records to his American Recordings output – and more.
Other credits include The Four Highwaymen lineup and the Gympie Muster, as well as charity gigs for the Wesley Mission and the Gut Foundation.
One Night in Memphis is set for The Capital in View Street from 8pm and tickets are available through the Bendigo Venues & Events website, bendigoregion.com.au/arts-culture-theatres.
