Unplugged Amy Shark brings her solo show to town
FANS of eight-time ARIA award-winning performer Amy Shark will experience a different side to the alt-pop singer songwriter when she brings her 20-date solo acoustic tour to Ulumbarra Theatre on 13 February.
Fresh off her blockbuster The Sadness arena tour, she’s foregone her band and will perform alone, with “supporting, emotional and honest stories” promised for every song.
Shark said she “can’t wait” for the Bendigo leg of her regional run of shows.
“I’ve never toured my music like this before and I’m very excited for you to hear this,” she said.
“As a performer I’m so excited to reimagine these songs and bring this new live experience to the stage and to hopefully give my fans a really unique and special night to remember.”
Shark first came to national prominence with her breakout single Adore in 2016, which earned her the ARIA award for Song of the Year in 2017. She also won ARIAs for Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist that year.
In 2018 she won the ARIA for Best Pop Release for her Love Monster album.
Shark also appeared as a guest mentor on the Australian version of The Voice in 2018 and was a judge on Australian Idol in 2023, for which she picked up her first Logie, winning the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.
Last year saw her return to her judging role for a second season of Australian Idol and release her third number one album, Sunday Sadness.
Amy Shark’s Solo Acoustic Songs and Stories regional tour stops off at Ulumbarra Theatre on Thursday 13 February. Tickets are available on the Bandsintown website.
