WORKS from 40 artists will remain on display at various cafes, bars, businesses and retail stores along View Street until Monday 3 August as part of the city’s third annual Eat.Drink.Art program.

Bendigo Venues and Events creative city officer Mandy Field said this year’s program is the biggest so far, with plenty more artists and businesses involved.

“The program is such a great way to offer local artists exposure and connect them with venues along View Street,” she said.

“The works are incredible and so diverse in style.

“They really make a statement in venues, so be sure to look out for them when you are having a coffee, dining out, or visiting businesses along View Street.

“People can (also) contact artists directly for sales or commission information.”

She said the City would like to take the opportunity to thank all participating businesses for their enthusiasm and support in hosting the program and showcasing artists in this fashion, as well as the artists themselves for sharing their beautiful work with a wider audience.

The initiative is part of a bunch of activations planned during the Bendigo Art Gallery’s redevelopment.

Others include View Street Amplified, a monthly live music event held on the steps of The Capital, plus The People’s Gallery: Portraits from the collection, an outdoor presentation of enlarged portrait reproductions displayed across the temporary hoarding currently in place on View Street.
