TAKE a look at what Bendigo’s foodie neighbourhood has to offer this Christmas at the Festive Foods on Lyttle Eat Street event this Saturday, 4 December.

From 10am to 2pm, traders will share their seasonal specials, and owner of Crooked Kitchen, Luke Goodson, said there would be seasonal taste sensations for everyone to enjoy.

“All of the traders have something a little bit different going on,” he said.

“Some of us are doing tastings for your Christmas catering and parties, other traders are putting together a festive special as we head in towards the season.

“That will range from different ethnic foods that they would like to have around their festive times, and some of the other traders are showing off their festive wares like their glazed hams and all that kind of thing.”

It’s the first Christmas season for traders under the united Lyttle Eat Street name, and Mr Goodson said they were “very excited about showcasing our little precinct.”

“I feel like there has been a bit of a trend towards people choosing local a bit more which has been really nice,” he said.

“The Bendigo community really gets behind their locals.”

Mr Goodson said Crooked Kitchen would be offering tasting packs for patrons to try at the event, as well as their usual full range of salads, homemade Christmas puddings and more.

“We’ve got a lot of retail in our area as well, so it’ll be good to be that collective shopping hub for your food, gifts and everything else,” he said.
