A SELF-guided city centre trail that invites residents and visitors to explore Bendigo’s arts scene is entering its final week, with the curated walking course set to wrap up next Friday, 30 January.

The City Centre Arts Passport encourages people to follow a specially designed map through 12 arts destinations across the Bendigo CBD, collecting stamps at each stop along the way.

From street art and creative laneways to galleries both large and small, the trail showcases the diversity of Bendigo’s creative scene.

City of Greater Bendigo manager of Bendigo venues and events, Julie Amos, said the initiative is a fun and accessible way for people of all ages to discover the city.

“Bendigo has a terrific creative energy, and this trail is a wonderful way to experience it first-hand,” she said.

“Whether you’re a regular gallery visitor or simply curious, the arts passport invites everyone to explore, connect and be inspired by the incredible talent we have right here in [Bendigo].”

Stops along the trail include the Capital Theatre, La Trobe Arts Institute, Valentines Artist Studios, Djaa Djuwima First Nations Gallery, Exhibit B at Fountain Court and the murals in Chancery Lane.

Also featured are the Pennyweight Walk Open Air Gallery, Emporium Creative Hub, UNBOUND at Dudley House, Hargreaves Mall activations, Dumawul Gallery and Exhibit B in Mitchell Street.

Maps can be collected from the Bendigo Visitor Centre at 51-67 Pall Mall or downloaded online.
