DO you think you have Bendigo’s cutest bub?

Baby Show Time is bringing their competition back to Lansell Square on Friday, 30 July in search of the region’s king and queen.

BST is a major supporter of the Kids with Cancer Foundation Australia, and owner Jayne Wood said they play a “massive role” in helping children and families suffering from cancer.

“We’ve got some Baby Show Time entrants who’ve been diagnosed with leukemia and some that we’re currently helping personally as well as through the Kids with Cancer Foundation,” she said.

“Baby Show Time supports families who are going through cancer as well supporting kids with cancer, we’re doing both.”

Ms Wood said the response to the show has always been positive and the support from mums and families is “amazing”.

“There’s a lot of mums that are there purely to donate and what they get out of the show isn’t as important as what the donation part is,” she said.

“There’s other people that are wanting to get out of the house and have fun and socialise because they feel they don’t have much of a social life being a mum and stuck at home.

“There are a lot of mums and families that really help and it’s amazing, they’re really great supporters.”

Ms Wood said the Bendigo show, open to newborn children to eight year olds is usually “one of the most popular” events in the state.

“It’ll be a last week of qualifying for our state finals event and many of our children that have won state finals in the past have come from Bendigo,” she said.
