AUSTRALIA’s most trusted bank has been announced as Bendigo Bank for the twelfth consecutive quarter in the latest nationwide Most Trusted and Distrusted Brands poll by Roy Morgan.
The bank also ranked thirteenth most trusted brand across all categories, behind the top five – Bunnings, ALDI, Kmart, Apple and Toyota.
The top five most distrusted brands across all categories were Woolworths and Coles, Optus, Facebook/Meta and Qantas.
The poll is based on a comparison of 1000 brands across 20 categories ranked by customer trust from a survey of 60,000 Australians.
Bendigo Bank’s chief marketing officer Sarah Bateson said the high levels of trust reflect the company’s customer-focus.
“This ranking speaks volumes about our customer-first approach to banking as we strive every day to make fans of our 2.7 million customers,” she said.
“We sincerely thank our customers and communities for the trust they place in us.
“Our Most Trusted title aligns with our consistently high net promoter score, which remains well above the industry average.
“We are a genuine and credible competitor to any bank in Australia, with customers attracted by our quality products, services and brands.”
The news comes off the back of the bank announcing a net profit after tax of $216.8 million for the six months ended 31 December 2024.
Operating expenses grew by 5 per cent, impacted by increased investment spend, while customer deposits grew by 5.4 per cent over the half and total lending grew by 3.4 per cent.
