ASPIRING entrepreneurs throughout Central Victoria are invited to apply for a free pre-accelerator program designed to help turn their commercial ideas into fully fledged going operations.

The 13-week course, funded by State Government startup incubator LaunchVic and delivered by Startup Central Victoria, begins in July and involves weekly 90-minute evening masterclasses to assist participants in building a “practical business plan”.

Program coordinator Kerry Anderson said applicants 18 years or above from across the region who can demonstrate “passion for their startup idea and commitment to the program” will be selected to take up the limited places available.

“If you’ve got an idea that has been bubbling away or have started working on a new startup, this is the ideal time to grow it in a supportive environment,” she said.

“No matter your idea, think global and think tech and we will see where it takes us.”

According to Ms Anderson, the course is promised to provide clarity, confidence, and support for participants to test their startup idea.

“A pre accelerator program opens up doors to valuable networks and resources,” she said. “You will be amazed at how much goodwill there is out in the region.”

“What have you got to lose? Everyone has a great business idea at some point in their life, but it is only the ones that commit that won’t die wondering.

“It may not work and that’s perfectly ok. At least you will be one step closer to another version or idea that will.”

For further information and to apply for the program visit the Startup Central Victoria website via bit.ly/42c0VAH or call Kerry Anderson on 0418 553 719.

The closing date for expressions of interest is 16 June.
