OWNERS behind the region’s small to medium-sized businesses are being invited to grow their capabilities together as part of the upcoming Greater Bendigo Showcase.

Held in partnership between the City of Greater Bendigo and the Industry Capability Network, the event will take place next week and is all about fostering collaboration and opportunity among businesses.

City of Greater Bendigo’s director of presentation and assets Brian Westley will be among the keynote speakers for the event.

He said it’ll provide ideal pathways to help the region’s businesses to expand.

“The City is proud to partner with ICN for the Greater Bendigo Showcase which offers a unique platform for businesses to expand their networks, learn from industry leaders, and explore new growth opportunities,” he said.

“Businesses will be in the same room as some of the biggest players from different sectors so it’s a chance to hear about new major projects, including the Regional Sports Infrastructure Package which is investing in Red Energy Arena, Bendigo Bowls and Croquet Clubs, and Bendigo Showgrounds.”

Presentations will be held by representatives of large organisations such as the Community Safety Building Authority, Coliban Water, Agnico Eagle Fosterville Gold Mine, and Development Victoria.

Business owners will also have the chance to get a greater understanding of the municipality’s tender process with its procurement team standing by to answer questions.

“Businesses will also gain a better understanding of the procurement process and be part of invaluable networking opportunities,” Mr Westley said.

“I encourage businesses not to miss out on this inspiring afternoon showcase. Be sure to register and take advantage of this free event.”

The Greater Bendigo Showcase will take place from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday 26 June in the All Seasons Resort Hotel’s Conservatory space.
