Club climbs to new heights
A GOOD crowd turned up for Bendigo Gliding Club’s Open Day, held on Sunday, 9 October 9 its airstrip in Raywood.
Displays on show included a range of vintage and modern gliders as well as classic cars and motorcycles.
People were allowed to get close up to see cockpit instruments and some even got to sit inside to get a real feel for the aircraft.
Good weather all day encouraged quite a few visitors to take the opportunity to have an air experience flight, and attendees took full advantage of the sausage sizzle while also grabbing gliding related printed material and having a turn on the glider flight simulator available in the clubhouse.
With the weather improving the club is looking forward to a good soaring season and visitors are encouraged to view club operations and for more info visit bendigogliding.org.au.
