BENDIGO’S own Courtney Conway will return to the stage on 30 April at The Capital for Celebrating Country, a showcase of the singer’s favourite country hits and original numbers.

Following a brief pause on her career for the birth of her two children, Conway and her band are excited to share their talents with crowds once again.

“We’re absolutely breaking our necks to get back on stage,” she said.

“This is my first proper show of just me doing my thing which I haven’t done in a while and it feels good to be back doing it.”

While Ms Conway’s passion for country music has seen her win multiple awards and land the lead role in the musical Always… Patsy Cline, she’s still most excited to perform to eager family and friends in the place she grew up.

“I find Bendigo people so supportive. I always love playing in my hometown. The theatres here are like a second home to me.”

Conway invites all music lovers to celebrate her favourite genre and its idols in the intimate show.

“There’s something there for everybody to enjoy,” she said. “Anyone from all walks of life can relate to the songs… even if you’re not a huge fan of the style of country.

“It’s worth celebrating because it’s people that are telling their stories and people that can relate to them.”

Tickets to Celebrating Country starring Courtney Conway are available online now at bendigoregion.com.au.
