THE Prime Business Park office and warehouse complex currently under construction in Rohs Road, East Bendigo has reached its next phase with the installation of more one thousand twelve-tonne precast concrete panels now underway.

The modular panels, which were manufactured by Statewide Precast in Shepparton and transported to the site by A-frame flatbed trucks, will provide the structural backbone of the project’s two 1100 square-metre warehouse facilities and other units.

Local construction firm KF Building, led by well-known Bendigo builder Kevin Walsh, is overseeing the installation via an imposing 150 tonne crane.

“The energy and excitement on-site at the moment is fantastic,” Mr Walsh said.

“The installation of these substantial panels marks the project’s first major vertical elements and signals strong momentum for the build.

“It also gives passers-by a visual of how significant this piece of infrastructure will be for local business and the Bendigo economy once it is delivered.

“Our team has done a terrific job overseeing the safe installation of the panels. Everyone has a shared sense of fulfillment in reaching this pivotal part of the build.”

Throughout the project’s construction phase over 100 full-time equivalent subcontractor roles are expected to be generated, with more than 35 local suppliers to be engaged.

The sales and leasing campaign at the Park has performed strongly since the project launched, with stage one now 50 per cent sold, leased or under offer. One flagship tenant signing is Jets Gymnastics, which will move from its current location in Golden Square to one of the precinct’s factory spaces under a 15-year lease.

Bendigo Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Services has also secured a street facing factory at the Park.
