ELMO and his Sesame Street friends are heading to Bendigo to put on a show at the circus.

Attendees will watch Elmo and Abby, Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert and Ernie sing, dance and discover their hidden talents and dreams.

The show features vibrant costumes, catchy songs including the iconic Sesame Street theme, and stunt performances.

Internationally renowned circus performers will join Elmo and his friends on stage with acrobatic displays, juggling acts and illusions.

“Elmo actually goes to bed, and he has a dream and his dream is that he’s going to take all his friends from Sesame Street and join the circus,” director Keith Brown said.

“They get to interact and learn a circus act but not only that, direct from Ethiopia we have three circus acts involved in the show and the kids will absolutely love it.”

It’s rare for Elmo and his friends to travel to Australia from New York, and Mr Brown said this is an opportunity not to be missed.

“It’s not very often we get to Australia, but here we are, we’re here,” he said.

Mr Brown said it was important to the organisation to make the show accessible and affordable to families.

“Especially with Sesame Street, we are an educational brand and we have to understand where families are today.

“Not every family can get to travel to theme parks or around the world, let alone interstate where we are with our economy.

“Our new course is how to we take live entertainment to the households.”

Elmo’s Circus Dream will be on at the Capital Theatre on April 12 and April 13. To book tickets, head to the Sesame Street Circus website.
