Makeup artist Ashley Morales is set to run the first of a series of variously themed makeup workshops at Bendigo Bank’s flagship concept branch in Mitchell Street next week.

The inaugural workshop is aimed at participants over the age of 40 and includes a live presentation of makeup being applied.

“During the demonstration I will share my must-have beauty products and teach simple application techniques that can be followed at home,” Morales said.

“Some specific topics will include how to match your foundation shade, how to look after and prep skin before makeup is applied, how to create healthy glowing skin and how to brighten the eye area.”

Morales said for many people it’s important that their makeup routine is “uncomplicated and fast to apply”, and the “look” she’s created keeps this in mind.

“As I explain and demonstrate each step, participants will be encouraged to ask questions along the way,” she said

“I’ll begin with skin care then move step-by-step through a full face of makeup. I want participants to walk away feeling excited about doing their makeup, not overwhelmed.

“I have researched and trailed thousands of products and techniques over my 12-year career and I condense that knowledge into simple advice that is easy to follow and makes makeup easy and fun.”

The Over 40s Makeup workshop with Ashley Morales will be held at the Bendigo Bank Mitchell Street branch on Thursday, 18 August from 6pm to 7.30pm.
