THE program for the 2023 Alliance Françoise French Film Festival in Bendigo has been announced and the movies will include A-List leading ladies like Marion Cotillard, Juliette Binoche and Lea Seyoux.

The festival will be held in Bendigo from 21-23 April.

Alliance Françoise artistic director Karine Mauris said the line-up is full of “effervescence” and “tells tales of resilience and limitless hope.”

“We can’t wait for festivalgoers to experience our most eclectic line-up to date of the best contemporary French cinema,” she said.

“The 2023 program will offer something for everyone, whether it be the hilarity of a meta-zombie comedy, tragic journeys with gripping consequences or adventure of l’Amour in all its forms.”

Movies that will be gracing the screens include Masquerade, Two Tickets to Greece, Annie’s Fire, Paris Memories, One Fine Morning and 2023 Academy Award winning film Saint Omer.

The first festival was held in 1989 and has continued to grow to now be the biggest contemporary French film festival in the world outside of France, according to Alliance Françoise.

Bendigo is just one several locations across the country set to host a stop of the festival.

The full line-up of films will be released on Tuesday, 9 February with tickets to go on sale the same day.
