THE Be Well Be Connected Expo returns next week to the showgrounds’ Bendigo Exhibition Centre.

The free City of Greater Bendigo event will feature products and services from more than 90 exhibitors that support positive ageing and living well in the community for people of all ages and with all types of abilities.

Attendees will also have the chance to meet in person with service providers, advisers and various community groups as part of the day.

City healthy communities and environments director Jess Howard said this year’s theme, Be Well Be Connected, is important as it emphasises the benefits of being well, being connected and participating in the community.

“Everyone is welcome to come along to the expo,” she said.

“It is a great opportunity to learn about what is on offer in our region and to assist older people and people living with a disability in our community to be more informed.”

Auslan interpreters will be available for the duration of the event, as well as coffee and light refreshments.

Accessible bathrooms will also be provided onsite, including the Marveloo portable changing places toilet, which features an overhead hoist, height-adjustable adult change table, access ramp and automatic doors.

The Be Well Be Connected Expo takes place at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre next Thursday 7 May from 10am to 2pm.
