HAVE some thoughts about how the city council’s free immunisation services are delivered?

Community feedback is being sought as part of a review of the municipality’s immunisation program so the City can ensure the service is meeting local needs.

Residents can have input into the review by completing a short online survey on the City’s community engagement website Let’s Talk Greater Bendigo by Wednesday 4 December.

The City’s community and environmental health acting manager, Sue Harrison, said in the last financial year the municipality provided 10,504 immunisations at 6725 community sessions and 3333 school sessions, as well as providing 446 influenza vaccinations for City staff.

“The City’s free immunisation services are accessed by a large number of people and by undertaking a review we want to find out residents’ experiences and satisfaction with the current service,” Ms Harrison said.

“This is an important project because we want to gain an understanding of the challenges and barriers residents may face when accessing the service and identify what’s working well and the areas where improvements could be made.

“The information provided by residents through the survey will help us to determine how often, and where, public immunisation clinics are held, if we need to provide better access to the clinics and if services are being delivered in the best possible way.

“The review is about building community trust and knowledge and we really want to hear the thoughts of residents about the services they use so we can ensure they can access the services they want and need.”

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and can be accessed at letstalkgreaterbendigo.com.au/city-immunisation-services-review
