Here’s whose Groovin for you

THE line-up for this year’s Groovin the Moo was announced on Wednesday morning with big names Fatboy Slim, alt-j and Ball Park Music set to perform at the music festival series.

Also taking the stage at Prince of Wales Showground on Saturday, 29 April will be Amy Shark, UK songbird Laurel, plus US rappers Denzel Curry and Skepta.

There’ll be plenty of Australian talent on show with dance duo Confidence Man, Hottest 100 winners Ocean Alley, pub favs The Chats, and Canberra up and comers Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers also named as part of the line-up.

English producer Fatboy Slim is sure to be a highlight of the event with his hits Praise You, The Rockafeller Skank and Right Here, Right Now anthems of a generation and sure to get the crowd jumping.

Greater Bendigo acts will also get their chance to take the stage with the big names.

Triple J Unearthed will be running its annual competition to select a local act with Jem Pryce and DJ Tonky both getting the opportunity last year.

The line-up is full of artists who did well in this year’s Hottest 100 with second place getter Eliza Rose, Ball Park Music in eight, Skeggs who came in at 19th and LUUDE at 28 all placing inside the top 50.

The yearly regional festival will be back in Bendigo for its 13th year and is likely to sell out quickly, with tickets to go on sale Tuesday, 7 February.
