AFTER seven years of energetic fun, Jumpz Trampoline Park is up for sale.

Managing director Samantha Williams said the centre, a family business supported by parents Mary and former AFL champion Greg Williams, can be easily managed by anyone.

“We’ve looked at selling it before, the timing probably wasn’t right for us, we had some people offer to purchase and COVID hit,” she said.

“We just want the right people to run it, to keep the brand going and to look after all of our customers.”

Mr Williams said the family capitalised on the growing interest of trampoline parks overseas and established the first of its kind at Kangaroo Flat in 2014.

“I grew up here in Bendigo, we’re up a fair bit to see mum and dad still,” he said. “There was nothing like it in Bendigo, no trampoline centre or anything as big as this.

“At the start, they were out the door, in the street lined up to come in it was just great.

“We get people from Swan Hill, Castlemaine, everywhere around Bendigo.”

Ms Williams, who also owns a Jumpz centre in Bali, said they decided to sell as she has landed a career opportunity in Melbourne.

She said the trampoline park gives children and families something different to do all year round, and the centre has seen a growth in interest coming out of COVID-19 lockdowns.

“We closed as soon as COVID hit but when we opened, we’ve been doing unbelievable figures,” she said.

“We think it’s actually been really positive for us because kids are inside, and they’re not seeing their friends, and as soon as were allowed this is the exact sort of place they’ll come.”

Ms Williams said they’ll look for the right buyer, but after opening and running the trampoline park in her early 20s, believes “anyone can do it”

“They’ve just got to be willing to put in the work and put on a happy face to serve people that come in to have a good time,” she said.
