GET creative this school holidays by taking part in workshops at Dudley House.

The sessions are open to children aged three to 15-years-old and will run until Friday 12 April.

The workshops include clay building, drawing, printmaking and more, with all sessions inspired by Paris: Impressions of Life 1880-1925 exhibition currently on at the Bendigo Art Gallery.

Bendigo Art Gallery Learning Manager Lena Mitchell said she hopes the workshop adds a touch of Paris to the school holidays in Bendigo.

“Participants are encouraged to dive into a world of creativity with all of the sessions offering a wide appeal,” she said.

“Families can book in for sessions with clay, paste-ups, drama, collage, mural making, a period costume life drawing session, watercolour postcards, printmaking, and an incredible series of music performances!

The works created will all go towards cumulative Paris-themed exhibition artwork which will be on display Saturday 13 April from 10am until 12pm.

“At the end of the program families are invited to come and admire the final piece of ‘Paris’ artwork,” said Ms Mitchell.

“The artwork celebrates emerging artists who have created a unique, collaborative, and cumulative exhibition as part of the workshop sessions.

“After their creative effort, children can take home a piece of Paris when the exhibition is deinstalled after the formal unveiling.”
