AUSSIE music festival Groovin the Moo will return to Bendigo on Saturday, 30 April next year.

Organisers last week confirmed the hugely popular event’s 2022 date and location at the Bendigo Showgrounds.

Cattleyard promoter Steve Halpin said the company was keen to present the festival, also confirmed for Maitland in NSW and Canberra in the ACT.

“It’s been a long time between Moo’s and we are so genuinely happy to be back on the road to some of our local regions to reconnect with artists, community, suppliers, team and most importantly, with each other,” he said.

“We have missed you all terribly and thank you for your patience.”

The festival was last held in Bendigo in May 2019, with both the 2020 and 2021 shows cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three additional locations normally home to the festival in Adelaide, SA, Townsville, QLD and Bunbury, WA have not yet been announced.

“Like any festival, GTM takes many months of planning and at this current stage, taking into account varying state by state regulations, the tour has to look a little different in 2022,” a media statement said.

A festival line-up is expected to be released in January next year.
