September 23, 2021 BY

The new case comes after a record day of COVID-19 testing in Bendigo yesterday.

BENDIGO has recorded one new case of COVID-19 in the last twenty-four hours.

The Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit confirmed the case this afternoon.

“The COVID-19 positive case acquired the infection from elsewhere in the state and is isolating,” a spokesperson said. “The primary close contacts associated with this case have been identified and are quarantining.”

“Any public exposure sites related to this case will be published on the Department of Health website.”

New tier two Bendigo exposure sites have been listed on the Department of Health website as of Thursday evening.

These include Quality Lakeside Hotel Bendigo as early as 12am on 19 September and as late as 6am on 22 September.

Brumby’s Bakery at the Village Epsom is also listed as a tier two exposure site on 19 September between 9.15am and 9.55am.

If you have been to any of these exposure sites you need to get tested and isolated until a negative result is achieved.
