New role for Cameron
COLIBAN Water has announced Bob Cameron will take on the role of chair of the water board from 1 October.
Current chair Lucy Roffey will remain a director of the Coliban Water Board however chose not to nominate for re-appointment.
Ms Roffey, who is also the CEO of Central Goldfields Shire Council and director at Homes Victoria, has led the organisation since 2017 and oversaw the development of Coliban Water’s 10-year strategic plan.
“I am proud of the work we have done in developing and the delivery to date of Strategy 2030,” she said.
“This plan clearly articulates the position we want Coliban Water to have in our communities.
“Coliban Water is not just a provider of water and wastewater services, it is much more than that.
“Water underpins the prosperity and sustainability of our region and I feel we are making real change; dealing with asset legacy issues, adapting to the challenges of climate change and working hard to set ourselves up for a more sustainable and customer centric future.”
She is succeeded by Mr Cameron, who has been in his current role as chair of Bendigo Health since 2015 and was previously the State member for Bendigo West.
