ORCHESTRA Victoria is coming to Bendigo next month for a series of concerts as part of its 2025 regional tour.
The shows will feature both school and library concerts, along with a full orchestra concert entitled Maggie Beer: Music and Me.
School concerts are scheduled for The Capital theatre at 11am on Wednesday 21 and Friday 23 May.
Library concerts under the Musical Storytime – Tomorrow is a Brand New Day banner, will take place at the Bendigo Library at 11am on 21 May and the Eaglehawk Library at the same time the following day, Thursday 22 May.
The ‘mainstage’ orchestra concert with Maggie Beer is scheduled for 7pm on Saturday 24 May at the Ulumburra Theatre.
The culinary icon will join the orchestra for an evening celebrating music, memory and storytelling at this event, which will link the city’s UNESCO City of Gastronomy designation with its cultural heritage.
The orchestra’s Connect Program will visit various aged care facilities.

“I am so excited to bring Maggie Beer: Music and Me to Bendigo,” Ms Beer said.
“Music has always been an important part of my life, and has inspired my cooking, and this event is a wonderful opportunity to explore that connection with the community.
“It has been a joy to curate this experience, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
Orchestra Victoria’s artistic adviser, Jessica Gethin, said bringing Orchestra Victoria’s performances to regional Victoria is about sharing the power and beauty of live music.
“These concerts are not just performances, they’re a chance to experience the magic of the orchestra right in your own backyard,” she said.
“It’s all about connecting with audiences, inspiring the next generation and creating lasting relationships with music lovers of all ages.”
The regional tour began in Shepparton earlier this month. It will move to Gippsland, Hamilton and Warrnambool after the Bendigo series.
