Park receives fourth consecutive award
ROSALIND Park has received a Green Flag award for the fourth year in a row.
The award, launched in the United Kingdom in 1996, recognises well maintained parks and green spaces across the world.
“The City is once again very proud that our wonderful Rosalind Park has been recognised with this award for the fourth consecutive year,” City of Greater Bendigo manager of parks and open space Chris Mitchell said.
“The award is a great example of the City’s commitment to provide quality open space for our residents and for visitors to the region.
“Our fourth Green Flag emphasizes the important work of City staff and the community’s experience of Rosalind Park.
The 60-acre park is one of seven parks in Australia to receive the recognition, and the only in Victoria.
“The City was awarded its first Green Flag in 2018 and this year Rosalind Park is once again the only Victorian park to be recognised which is a fantastic acknowledgement for Bendigo,” Mr Mitchell said.
“The City has made a considerable investment in Rosalind Park over many years and the Green Flag acknowledges and recognises this commitment.”
The award is managed in Australia by Parks and Leisure Australia.
