BUSINESSES who would like to discover how planning permits work and how they can apply for them are encouraged to attend a free information session at Galkangu Bendigo GovHub in Lyttleton Terrace.
The session will be facilitated by staff from both the City of Greater Bendigo’s economic growth and statutory planning teams and will cover when a permit is required, how the application process proceeds and how businesses can move through the planning journey more smoothly.
It will also outline how to avoid unexpected costs and common mistakes and how to start or grow your business with planning confidence.
It is suitable for existing business owners looking to expand, relocate or change how they operate, as well as current applicants requiring clarification on planning processes.
City of Greater Bendigo manager economy and experience James Myatt said the seminar would help businesses better understand what is involved.
“Participants will hear directly from a planner, learn what information is needed for a strong application, and understand the difference between planning and building permits, including for home-based businesses,” he said.
“The session is designed for all types of businesses, from new start-ups, home businesses, entrepreneurs to established businesses, who are seeking to expand on an existing site or move to new premises in the region.”
Building your business: A practical guide to planning permits is due to take place Wednesday week, 27 May from 2.30pm to 4pm at Galkangu Bendigo GovHub, 189-229 Lyttleton Terrace.
Bookings, which can be made on the CoGB website, are essential.
