Punk rocker’s talking tour coming to town
PUNK rocker, grammy award winner and general jack of all trades, Henry Rollins, is bringing his latest tour, titled Good to See You, to Bendigo this June.
The band frontal, author, actor, and radio host will be performing his new spoken word tour right across the nation after first heading to Australia 34 years ago.
The Good to See You tour will see Rollins relate his experiences since his last visit to Australia which will include his own personal narrative on his journey through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Described as a natural storyteller, Rollins is the author of more than 30 books including Broken Summers, Get in the Van and Black Coffee Blues.
“Rollins is many things,” said The Washington Post, “Diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humourist, even motivational speaker… his is an enthusiastic and engaging chatter.”
He first rose to prominence in the 1980s fronting punk rock outfits Black Flag, State of Alert, and Rollins Band, and has gone on to appear in TV shows like Sons of Anarchy and Californication.
He is currently in the middle of the European leg of his speaking tour with the self-confessed ‘workaholic’ pushing through a large number of dates until he heads to Australia in June.
Henry Rollins will perform Good to See You at the Ulumbarra Theatre on Wednesday, 21 June in an all-ages show.
Tickets for the show go on sale Wednesday, 15 February and can be found at frontiertouring.com.
