KANGAROO FLAT’s Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre is set to benefit from an almost half-million-dollar upgrade to its gym, with a whole host of brand new, state-of-the-art equipment to be available to members this month.

The 7950-square-metre centre opened in October 2018 at the old Kangaroo Flat Leisure Centre site and is operated by facilities management company Belgravia Leisure, which recently signed a new five-year contract with the City of Greater Bendigo.

Belgravia’s state manager Kara Monaghan said the refurbishment is part of the company’s long-term commitment to both Gurri Wanyarra and Bendigo, with the full suite of new machines and equipment to be available for existing centre members at the current price.

“This year marks over a decade of Belgravia Leisure operating facilities in the Bendigo region and we are delighted to be investing in the health and wellbeing of the broader Bendigo community,” she said.

Centre manager Carly Schintler said the updated fitout would provide fitness enthusiasts with a variety of extra options every time they visit.

“A new recovery zone created for post-workout recovery will feature state of the art Normatec Compression Technology,” she said.

“The addition of an Evolt 360 Body Scanner will also assist members to get precise insights into their body composition to tailor workouts to their body’s specific needs.”

To celebrate the refurbishment, Gurri Wanyarra is currently charging new members an introductory price of only $30 for 30 days.
