Regional schools share major funding
MORE funding for essential school maintenance has been announced for the region.
Ten schools in Bendigo will share almost $500,000 between them under the State Government’s Planned Maintenance Program projects for term 2.

Lockwood South Primary School and Lockwood Primary School have been granted $110,000 and $60,000 respectively for new shelters in place faculties, aimed at protecting the school from bushfire risks.
Raywood Primary School will also use $95,000 for its own shelter in place building, while the seven other schools will use the funding for roof plumbing.
They include $70,000 for Kangaroo Flat Primary School, $55,000 for Bendigo South East 7-10 Secondary College, $50,000 for Eaglehawk Primary School and $25,000 for Eaglehawk North Primary School.
Golden Square Primary School and Maldon Primary School have been granted $10,000 each and Quarry Hill Primary School received $5,000.
Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards said the funding provides significant upgrades to Central Victorian schools.
“This investment ensures students in Central Victoria can learn in safe settings that complement the top-class education we are committed to providing,” she said.
