THE big red man himself will be in Maiden Gully this Christmas Eve to deliver joy and lollies for children and families in the community.

With help from the Maiden Gully Fire Brigade and bags of goodies provided by members of the town’s Progress Association, Santa will visit the region travelling on the firies’ truck

Similar to last year, Santa’s visit will begin at 3.30pm from the north end of the Calder Highway towards Olympic parade until 5pm.

One truck will start off at the Armitage Estate while the other will be near Braedene Drive, completing the drive at Wicks Road via Robin Hill, and the Westbury Estate.

Santa’s visit will then take to the region’s south side before ending at 6.30pm.

Delays may occur during the drive should the brigade be called out to an emergency, and the trucks will halt at one or more safe stops per street depending on their length.
