GREATER Bendigo and Loddon Shire residents looking to save money all year round will be pleased to know that they’re eligible to become a Bendigo Region Ambassador by easily obtaining a Bendigo Region Ambassador Pass.
The pass entitles the holder to free entry and special offers for a range of local attractions when they take along visiting relatives and friends.
Attractions offering one free entry to passholders with the purchase of any full price adult or family ticket include the Bendigo Military Museum, the Golden Dragon Museum and the Discovery Science and Technology Centre.
There’s also plans to involve Loddon destinations in the future.
Passholders can purchase tickets at Eaglehawk’s Star Cinema at member prices or score a complementary coffee/tea at The Great Stupa’s StupaView cafe if they’re accompanied by one or more visitors as well.
City of Greater Bendigo mayor Cr Thomas Prince said the initiative offered many advantages during the holiday season, and beyond.
“It’s the perfect time to become an Ambassador,” he said.
“Residents have the inside knowledge on what makes the region so special (and) visiting friends and family will love experiencing the region like a local.
“With so much to see, do and enjoy, they’ll be wanting to come back to experience more.”
Once registered, a pass will be emailed directly to the applicant’s inbox, while for those who prefer a hard copy, these are available at the Bendigo, Heathcote and Wedderburn Visitor Information Centres.
To become an Ambassador, complete the form on the Bendigo Region website.
