Students bring festive fun to children’s ward

PUPILS from Epsom Primary School stopped by Bendigo Hospital late last week with a special delivery for the children’s ward.

Members of the school’s student council dropped off books and Christmas decorations to be hung up in the ward.

They were gratefully accepted by paediatric nurses Nicolette Jochs and Kate Lim.

The idea for the Christmas decoration project started a few years ago when a grade 1 pupil suggested the hospital make the children’s warm more festive at this time of year.

The baubles and tinsel for the ward’s Christmas tree, and the books, are donated by families from the school, with members of the student council also making their own decorations.
