Wine, dine and create a masterpiece
ST Anne’s Winery has teamed up with Pinot and Picasso to put together a program of Paint and Sip sessions where participants create art while enjoying a drink, some pizza, and the winery atmosphere.
Winery manager Emily McMillan said the program had been a hit so far with more to come over the winter months.
“It’s popular for hen’s parties,” she said. “We did a Mother’s Day event that was really fun.
“We’ve actually got a Father’s Day event coming up with Pinot and Picasso coming out. I don’t know what we’re painting yet but we will get to that soon.
“We also have Paint Your Pot coming up early in July too, where attendees paint a plant pot rather than a canvas.”
Ms McMillan said the season, the weather, and the type of group factor into whether the event is held inside or out.
“Summertime I love everyone painting outside,” she said. “Because depending on how many wines people have, it does get a little bit messy.
“We’ve had to clean paint off the chairs and floor before, but it is all part of the fun.
“We do in or out depending on what sort of function it is. Guests can do their painting inside and then move out later and have lunch and wine.
“We’ve got so much space out here, that we can really do what we want, which is great.”
