ONE of the Bendigo Football Netball League’s ‘most valued and endearing’ off-field partnerships will continue in 2026.

Long-time league supporter and sponsor Bendigo Bank has recommitted as one of the BFNL’s major partners this season.

As part of the deal, Bendigo Bank will remain as the naming rights sponsor of the BFNL’s senior football competition, reinforcing the bank’s alignment with one of regional Victoria’s premier sporting competitions.

BFNL manager Tom King said the renewed agreement reflected the strength and stability of a partnership that had been developed over many years.

He hailed the partnership as one of the league’s most valued and endearing.

“Bendigo Bank has been a trusted and loyal supporter of the BFNL for a long period of time,” King said.

“Their ongoing commitment as the major partner of the league and our senior football competition is significant and provides important backing to the continued growth and profile of the BFNL.”

Bendigo Bank chief marketing officer Sarah Bateson said the partnership reinforced the bank’s longstanding purpose to feed into the prosperity of its customers and the community.

“Since 2008, Bendigo Bank has invested more than $22 million in grassroots footy clubs, giving back almost $100 million in profits for sports and recreation clubs and organisations across all states and territories since 1999,” she said.

“We value our long-standing relationship with the BFNL and are excited to help the league continue to grow and thrive.”

The league will officially launch its 2026 football and netball seasons this afternoon (27 March) at a lunchtime event at Bendigo Mazda.

Newcomers Broadford and South Bendigo will open the season the following day with a standalone match at the Kangaroos’ home.
