SOUTH Bendigo have earned their tenth win of the Bendigo Netball League season with a big victory over Strathfieldsaye at Tannery Lane.

When the final siren sounded, the Bloods came away with a 33-57 win.

The victory keeps them two-points above Castlemaine, by way of a draw in round four, as the top five teams in the comp jockey for finals placings.

Storm centre Caitlyn Hamilton touches down just outside the half-circle.

In the biggest shock of the round, former ladder leader Kangaroo Flat lost 45-40 away at Gisborne.

The defeat drops the Roos down to second and means Sandhurst are a game clear at the top of the table and looking at a first-round bye in the finals.

Speaking of the Dragons, they demolished visitors Maryborough 82-44, while other results saw Castlemaine down Golden Square by an even bigger margin, 81-34, and Kyneton got the job done against Eaglehawk 50-38.

As the comp heads into the penultimate round Kangaroo Flat will host Strathfieldsaye, Castlemaine is on the road at Eaglehawk, Sandhurst welcomes sixth placed Kyneton, Maryborough is at home to South Bendigo, and Gisborne travels to Golden Square.
