IT will be more than points to be won when bowlers across the Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields take to the greens across 20 and 22 January.

Players in all divisions will be chipping in to raise funds for a designated group in the cancer charity network.

A big day of Premier Division bowls will be run on Sunday, January 21 at South Bendigo on the Sherman and Dillon greens.

Play will start at 9.30am when Bendigo East takes on Inglewood, and Golden Square faces Kangaroo Flat.

Barbecue lunch will be available.

Finale to the day’s action begins at 2pm with Bendigo up against Eaglehawk, and South Bendigo to play Moama.

All divisions in the Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Region will take part in Charity Round on 20 to 22 January.

Matches in division one on January 20 will be at North Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat, Eaglehawk and Marong.

Other clubs hosting matches on January 20 include Bendigo, Castlemaine, Dingee, Golden Square, Harcourt, Heathcote, Inglewood, Strathfieldsaye, Dingee, White Hills, and Woodbury.

Clubs will be raising funds through raffles, a dinner, donations, pennant fees, or other ideas.

BCGR has granted an exemption to wearing bowls uniforms for this round so bowlers can wear colours representing their club’s selected charity.

Photos of individuals, teams and rinks who have taken up the challenge can be sent to 0438 383 085.

Division one matches in midweek pennant on 22 January will be at Bendigo, Golden Square, Inglewood and South Bendigo.
