TOP teams Lockington Bamawm United and Mount Pleasant clash in Saturday’s fifteenth round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football League.

After a bye, the LBU Cats are back in action at Lockington against the Blues.

The Cats have an 11-1 record and lead the ladder from Mounts, 11-2, and have a game in hand.

In round six, LBU broke away in the final term to score a 31-point victory on the Blues’ turf at Toolleen.

A talented Cats’ line-up coached by Brodie Collins includes captain Nathan Bacon, Tyler Phillips, Joss Howlett, Thomas Leech and Rhys Woodland.

Mount Pleasant won last Saturday’s clash with Huntly by 94 points as Jesse Tuohey, Chris Down, Sam Greene and Bryce Hinneberg led the way.

The Darren Walsh-coached Blues were bolstered by the return of co-coach and captain Adam Baird.

In the south-east Heathcote takes on Elmore at the Saints’ home at Barrack Reserve.

The Andrew Saladino-coached Saints played impressive football in a 64-56 loss at Colbinabbin.

Players to watch for Heathcote include Braden Padmore, Will Direen, Shaun Harrison and Will Long.

It will be a tough task for Elmore, but the Bloods did well to be within 13 points of White Hills last round.

In-form players for the Dylan Friedberger and Dylan Gordon-coached Bloods include Matt Nettlefold, Mattia Curry, Tyler Amor-Beale, Darcy and Zac Laffy.

Huntly tackles North Bendigo in the Hawks’ nest at Strauch Reserve.

The Hawks will look to Tyler Miles, Jayden Cordy, Mitch Christensen, Jaydon Cowling and coach Stacy Fiske to lead the way.

A major threat to Huntly will be North Bendigo gun forward Dylan Klemm who kicked eight goals against Leitchville-Gunbower.

Classy midfielder Nic Waterson, ruckman Jeremy Lambden, and running half-back Tim Deveraux were in hot form for the Bulldogs against the Bombers.

Leitchville-Gunbower is back at Leitchville to tackle Colbinabbin.
