IT’S a must-win game for White Hills against Elmore to keep the heat on the top three in this Saturday’s thirteenth round of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL senior footy season.

The Demons go into the match on their turf at Winslow Constructors Oval on Scott Street in fourth place on a with a seven and three record.

White Hills is a win behind Mount Pleasant and North Bendigo who will start favourite to win their respective matches against Leitchville Gunbower and Huntly.

The Jack Fallon and Jake Pallpratt was outplayed in the first half of last Saturday’s match at Heathcote’s Barrack Reserve.

It was in stark contrast to the previous two matches against the Saints where the Demons made a flying start.

Heathcote led 46-17 at half-time and went on to claim a 74-45 victory.

Elmore head to the den following a 35-point loss at home to Leitchville Gunbower.

The Shannon Keam-coached Leitchville Gunbower is back at home this Saturday to take on Mount Pleasant.

Qualifying for finals may be out of reach for the Bombers, but it’s a danger game for the Blues.

Mounts won the latest hit-out against Colbinabbin by 39 points at Toolleen.

Meanwhile, the Jed Brain-coached Colbinabbin is back on home turf at M.J. Morgan Oval to take on Lockington Bamawm United.

In round four, LBU beat the Grasshoppers by seven points and since then the Stacy Fiske-coached Cats have improved markedly.

The Harlowe Huntly Hawks are at Strauch Reserve to take on North Bendigo.

Huntly played well to be within three points of LBU at Lockington last Saturday before the Cats charged away to win 74-47.

Three weeks ago North Bendigo was top of the ladder and unbeaten but consecutive defeats at Mount Pleasant and then Lockington mean the Dogs start this round in third place.

The Rob Bennett-coached Bulldogs are likely to regain some key players for this clash with the brown and gold.

The ladder-leading Heathcote has the bye.
