SOUTH Bendigo meets the unbeaten Bendigo in Saturday’s fifth round of premier division action in Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields weekend pennant bowls.

The Diggers and Royals will play at White Hills from 1.30pm.

It’s first against third in the premiership race.

South Bendigo scored an 18-shot win against Marong last Saturday as Bendigo dominated on Eaglehawk’s greens in an 18-101 to 0-64 victory.

High for the Diggers against Marong was a 22-shot victory by Brad Holland’s rink.

Bendigo’s Luke Hoskin and Brad Marron won in the Borough by 12 and 13 shots.

Another unbeaten line-up in Moama will be back on home greens to take on Eaglehawk.

The Steamers surged to a 56-shot victory at Strathfieldsaye last Saturday.

Moama skippers Cameron Keenan and Brody Harker marked wins by 20 and 19 shots.

Stung by its first defeat of the season, Golden Square returns to its Wade Street turf to play Strathfieldsaye.

The Bulldogs will be on the rebound from a four-shot loss to Bendigo East in the Magpies’ nest.

Lachlan Darroch and Thomas Lester took the points for the blue and gold against Bendigo East’s Tait Fuller and Connor Fry.

Marong takes on Bendigo East.

After a nil-three start, East fought back to record a 14-76 to 4-72 win against Golden Square.

The Magpies’ charge was led by the Martin Lord Snr and Marc Smith-skipped rinks as they won by nine and three shots.

Marong’s Robert Day and Dean Carter won their matches on South Bendigo’s turf in Quarry Hill.
