NORTH Bendigo faces a danger game against Elmore in round two of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football League’s senior footy action on Easter Saturday.

The Bulldogs will have home-ground advantage at Hibo Hotel Oval on Atkins Street against a team which has faced the powerful Colbinabbin and Mount Pleasant in the first two weekends of the season.

North Bendigo’s record stands at 1-1 after a first-up win at home against Heathcote was followed by a 35-point loss on Colbinabbin’s turf.

Key players in the Bulldogs’ line-up include Dylan Klemm and Matt Gray in attack, Jordan Ford at centre half-back, ruckman Jeremy Lambden, and wingman Nic Waterson.

Meanwhile, Elmore worked hard to be within 37 points of Mounts at Elmore last round.

A Bloods’ attack, led by Sebastian De Napoli and co-coaches Dylan Friedberger and Dylan Gordon will test North Bendigo.

The Huntly Hawks will aim to bounce back from defeat when they meet Leitchville Gunbower in the Bombers first match of the ’22 campaign.

The Stacy Fiske-coached Huntly will look to the experienced Tyler Miles, Jay McDonald and recruits such as Orion Downing, Tori Ferguson and Travis Mercadante to lead the way.

It’s been a long wait for the new-look for Leitchville Gunbower, as Tim Bannan takes on coaching a squad that includes recruits such as Blake Azzopardi, Tom Guerra, Lachie Martini and Jobee Warde.

Lockington Bamawm United faces a Heathcote line-up where spirits are high after a strong start to the season.

The LBU Cats are likely to have too much firepower through the likes of Anthony McMahon, Rhys Woodland, Ben Fulford and top ruckman Tyler Phillips.

Standouts for the Andrew Saladino-coached Saints so far include Braden Padmore, Billy Price, Kai Cavallaro and Liam Birch.

It’s the Blues against the Demons as Mount Pleasant takes on White Hills at Toolleen.

Key players for the Blues include onballer Adam Baird, a Michelsen medallist and premiership star when at Golden Square, along with gun forward Ben Weightman, Billy Mahony, ruckman Chris Down and Travis Baird.

It’s a daunting task for the Jack Fallon-coached White Hills who will look for big games from the likes of Bayden Fallon and Mitch Dole in attack, experienced onballer Brady Childs, Gavin Bowles, Rhys Irwin, Patrick Eefing, Nathan Moffat and David Wright.

All senior matches start at 2.30pm and Colbinabbin has the bye.
