THE showdown between North Bendigo and Colbinabbin highlights Saturday’s tenth round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League season.

Rested by the bye, North Bendigo will be fired up for its home clash with the Grasshoppers at Hibo Hotel Oval in Atkins Street.

When these clubs met on 9 April, Colbinabbin won 67-32 at M. J. Morgan Reserve.

Despite a two-point loss to Mount Pleasant at Toolleen which ended its unbeaten run, Colbinabbin is still top of the ladder.

Key players for Colbo include ruckman Hadleigh Sirett, James and Jed Brain, Todd Clarke and Thomas Hill.

The green and gold also has Lachlan Ezard, Logan Fitzgerald and Stephen Tuohey capable of winning many contests.

Latest hit-out for the Bulldogs was a one-point win at home against Mount Pleasant, and they’re likely to regain triple premiership-winning stars Aarryn Craig and Jordan Ford for this contest.

In-form players for North Bendigo include Dylan Klemm in attack, Jeremy Lambden in the ruck, Shane Harris and Daniel Reid in defence, and Nic Waterson from a wing.

The Bulldogs are a win behind Mounts in the fight for a top-three berth.

Lockington Bamawm United bounced back from its first defeat in many days by scoring a 111-point win at home against Elmore and now the Cats are back at Lockington to take on White Hills.

Key players for LBU include ruckman/forward Tyler Phillips, Ben Fulford and Rhys Woodland in attack, Nathan Bacon and the versatile Riley McIvor.

The Demons will need big games from the likes of Ben Bacon, Brady Childs, Bayden Fallon in attack, Rhys Irwin and David Wright.

Huntly takes on Heathcote at Strauch Reserve and it’s another daunting task for the Hawks against a Saints line-up fighting to hold fifth place.

The Hawks will look to Jay McDonald, Tyler Miles, Brandon Dimech and Mitch Billings to continue their strong form.

Players to watch for the Saints include Billy and Codie Price, Rhys Bolton, Connor Hamilton and Jackson Jones.

After ending Colbo’s streak, Mount Pleasant is back at Toolleen to take on Elmore.

Key players for the Blues include Ben Weightman at full-forward, Chris Down in the ruck, Mitchell Bennett, and Bailey and Fletcher White.

The Bloods will look to Dylan Gordon, Zack Holmberg and Darcy Laffy to lead the way.

Leitchville Gunbower has the bye.
