Dogs welcome Superoos to Pyramid Hill
IT’S second against third as Pyramid Hill and Mitiamo meet in this Saturday’s fifteenth round of the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley Football League.
The Nathan Fitzpatrick-coached Bulldogs have home-ground advantage at Mitchell Park for what could be a prelude to the qualifying final.
Both teams scored impressive wins last Saturday.
Mitiamo beat Inglewood by 76 points at John Forbes Oval at Mitiamo, and Pyramid Hill won on the Maiden Gully YCW Eagles’ turf at Marist College Bendigo by 73 points.
The round six showdown between the Superoos and Bulldogs ended in a four-point victory for the visitors as captain Steven Gunther, Scott Mann, Mitch Cheesman led the way for the red, white and blue.
Key players for Pyramid Hill include Ryley Dickens, Zac Dingwall, Gavin James and Brad Ladson.
Best for Mitiamo in the win against the Inglewood Blues were Ross Turner, Daniel Mowat, Troy Rogers and Tom Grant.
After the bye, Bears Lagoon Serpentine is back in action at Holloway Air Riverside Park at Newbridge.
Previous meeting between the Bears and Maroons ended in a 68-48 win for the BLS line-up.
Key players for the Justin Laird Bears include Josh Walsh, Andy Gladman, Darcy Poulter and Harry Gadsden.
Newbridge will be determined to hit back after a big loss on Marong’s turf at Malone Park.
Best for the Maroons on a tough afternoon against the red-hot Panthers were Tyler McLeod, Caleb Argus and Brandon Etherington.
Maiden Gully YCW Eagles mark another home game when they take on Calivil United.

The round six clash at Calivil ended in a 14-point victory for the Eagles.
