Dragons claim fourth flag in a row
Both sides were top of the BNL A Grade comp all season, with the Roos inflicting a heavy defeat on Sandhurst as recently as round 13.
However, since then it’s been all the Dragons, with their grand final victory the second time in the finals they had got the job done over Kangaroo Flat.
The lower four grade flags were dominated by just two teams, Sandhurst and Gisborne.
In A Reserve it was the Bulldogs who took the win, defeating the Dragons by two-goals, 27 to 29.
The same two goal margin, this time 37 to 35, was registered in Sandhurst’s B Graders in a win over South Bendigo.
The B Reserve grand final was again, a two-goal affair, this time in favour of Sandhurst over Gisborne 48 to 46.
To start the day Gisborne lifted the 17 & under cup, defeating Kangaroo Flat 44 to 34.
