Feathers fly in Magpies’ battle

THE Bendigo Netball League’s to Magpies played off at Camp Reserve in Castlemaine during round eleven.

After the four quarters, Castlemaine’s A Graders came away with a big win over the visiting Maryborough 76 to 34.

The victory put Castlemaine into fifth on the table with a seven and four record while Maryborough is one place off last, having gone two and nine in 2022.

In other A Grade games Kangaroo Flat routed Golden Square 118 to 32, Strathfieldsaye were beaten at home by Sandhurst 39 to 84, South Bendigo got the better to Eaglehawk 52 to 34 and Gisborne downed Kyenton in a close game 43 to 37.

The top four on the ladder is made up of the undefeated Sandhurst, Kangaroo Flat, Gisborne and South Bendigo.
