A RED-HOT Sandhurst will strive to keep an unbeaten run rolling in Saturday’s fourth round of the Bendigo Bank Bendigo FNL’s senior footy season.

After a 35-point win against Golden Square to mark a hat-trick of wins in the Ron Best Memorial Shield contests, Sandhurst tackles Storm on its turf at Triple M Park in Tannery Lane.

The Ash Connick and Bryce Curnow-coached Sandhurst will be without VFL-aligned players Lachlan Tardrew, Sam Conforti and Cobi Maxted, but ooze class on every line.

A premiership winner and Nalder medallist as best afield in Storm’s grand final win in 2019, Curnow returns to Strathfieldsaye as an opponent.

Other key players for the Dragons include ruckman Hamish Hosking, Matt Thornton, Andy Collins, Zach Pallpratt, Nick Stagg and Liam Ireland.

Storm has a 2-1 record following a 97-point win at Castlemaine.

Captain and gun forward Lachlan Sharp did not play against the Pies, so it was James Schischka and Jed Brereton who led the attack.

A strong Storm line-up includes Michelsen medallist Jake Moorhead, Callum McCarty, Mitch Hallinan and Baxter Slater.

On the rebound from defeat, Golden Square is at home at Fur Life Oval in Wade Street to take on South Bendigo.

It’s another big test for the Christian Carter-coached Bulldogs, especially against a Bloods’ attack that has the skilful Will Keck and Steven Stroobants in form.

After a hard-fought win at Maryborough, Kangaroo Flat is at home at Dower Park to face a Gisborne line-up reeling from a big loss to Eaglehawk.

The Roos have the running power to test the Brad Fox-coached Bulldogs.

Kyneton and Maryborough clash in Tigerland and both teams are chasing their first win of the season.

Eaglehawk has soared to the top of the ladder and will be too strong for Castlemaine on the Borough’s turf at Canterbury Park.
