WITH a winning run ended on four, Inglewood faces a fired-up Calivil United in Saturday’s ninth round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL.

The Darrell Billett-coached Inglewood will aim to bounce back from defeat to Pyramid Hill when it faces the Demons at Inglewood’s Dissy Machinery Oval.

Heat will be on as Calivil United chases a hat-trick of wins after the 86-43 victory at Raywood against Maiden Gully YCW Eagles.

Not only did the Demons mark back-to-back wins, but also claimed the George Thompson Shield on a day it honoured the heritage of Northern United Football Club.

Best for the Anthony Dennis-coached Demons at Raywood were Rhys Lourie, Jake Lawry, Justin Hynes and Evan Ritchie.

Maiden Gully YCW Eagles return to Marist College Bendigo to play Bears-Lagoon Serpentine.

A five and two season record has the Bears in third place in the premiership race.

The Justin Laird-coached BLS withstood a spirited challenge from Mitiamo to win its latest home game by 18 points.

Pyramid Hill is at home again at Mitchell Park to take on Newbridge.

The Nathan Fitzpatrick-coached Bulldogs ended Inglewood’s winning streak as Zach Alford, Bryden Morison, Jesse Sheahan and Declan Slingo were best in the 61-point victory.

Newbridge is back in action after the bye and the game will be a massive test coaches Sam Gale – playing, and Daniel Smith – non-playing.

Mitiamo also faces a huge challenge when it hosts the unbeaten Marong on John Forbes Oval.

The Jon Varcoe-coached Superoos worked hard in the Bears’ den at Serpentine last round.

Marong scored 23 goals and kept Bridgewater to 1.4 in the rematch of the 2022 grand finalists.

A formidable Marong line-up coached by Linton Jacobs includes Michael Bradbury, Brandyn Grenfell, Kain Robins, Nathan Devanny, Richard Tibbett and Corey Gregg.

Bridgewater has the bye.
