INGLEWOOD will chase a fourth consecutive victory in this Saturday’s seventh round of senior footy action in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL season.

The Darrell Billett-coached Blues are on home turf at Dissy Machinery Oval to take on Newbridge.

In the run to last weekend’s bye, Inglewood had beaten Bridgewater, Mitiamo, and Maiden Gully YCW.

A three and two record has put the Blues in fourth place on the ladder and favourite to take the points against the Sam Gale and Daniel Smith-coached Newbridge, 1-5.

It’s another big test for Bears-Lagoon Serpentine when it meets Bridgewater in the Bears’ den at Gadsden Finance Serpentine Reserve.

The Justin Laird-coached Bears also have a three and two record and are fifth on the ladder.

Bridgewater’s 43-point win at home against Calivil United in the sixth round has the Rick Ladson-coached Mean Machine at four wins and two losses and sitting and third on the ladder.

The Bears are on the rebound from a 73-point loss to the unbeaten Marong.

Despite a 58-point deficit at half-time, BLS fought hard to win the third quarter, 32-24, as Harry Gadsden, Kyal Zass and Aidam Brohm led the way.

The Bears’ defence will be up against Bridgewater captain Josh Martyn who kicked six goals against Calivil United and leads the league goalkicking race on 35.

Key players for the Mean Machine include Harry Donegan, Tyler Estrada, Jack Symons and Darcy Wood.

Maiden Gully YCW is at home at Marist College Bendigo to take on Pyramid Hill.

The Eagles won a hard-fought clash with Newbridge by a goal as Cooper Hale, coach Jay McDonald, Matthew Crooks and Brandon Dimech were best.

Massive challenge against a Pyramid Hill line-up which is sitting four and one and second on the ladder.

The Bulldogs marked a 162-point win at Mitiamo last Saturday as Dylan Collins, Steven Gunther, Zach Alford and Jesse Sheahan starred.

Mitiamo takes on Calivil United at Mitiamo’s John Forbes Oval.

The Anthony Dennis-coached Calivil United is desperate to break its winless run.

Key players for the Demons include ruckman Justin Hynes, Henry and Walter Miller, Cody Thompson, and Ben Baker.

Marong has the bye.
