STRATHFIELDSAYE faces the unbeaten Sandhurst in Saturday’s start to round four in Bendigo District Cricket Association first XI action.
The Jets and Dragons showdown starts at 1pm at Triple M Park in Strathfieldsaye’s Tannery Lane.
Strathfieldsaye scored 9-391 and held Bendigo United to 9-279 in their match at Catherine McAuley College in Junortoun.
Key players for the Jets include captain Campbell Love, Ben Devanny, Patrick Felmingham and Savith Weerasinghe.
Sandhurst scored 350 and then dismissed Bendigo for 181 at Lead Advisory Oval in Atkins Street as gun spin bowler Liam Bowe captured 5-66.
Another big match will be at All Seasons Oval in Strathdale Park where Strathdale-Maristians takes on Eaglehawk.
After drawn matches in the opening two rounds, Strathdale-Maristians dominated the clash with Huntly North at Pegasus Pitstop Oval in Huntly’s Strauch Reserve.
Suns’ captain Cameron Taylor, Grant Waldron, James Barri, Daniel Clohesy, Dylan Baillie and Sam Johnston are key cogs in a formidable line-up.
Eaglehawk won a great clash with Kangaroo Flat at National Heating and Cooling Oval in Canterbury Park by 15 runs.
Linton Jacobs, Harvey White, captain Nathan Walsh, Cam McGlashan and Angus Chisholm will play key roles for the Hawks against the reigning premier.
Kangaroo Flat is on home turf at The Dispensary Oval in Dower Park to take on Bendigo.
The in-form Golden Square hosts Huntly North at Haymes Paint Shop Oval in Wade Street.
