Many clubs represented in bowls deciders
Finale to the 2024-25 season will be Sunday’s premier division clash between Moama Steamers and Golden Square on Eaglehawk’s greens in Simpson’s Road.
The Steamers are chasing back-to-back titles when the match starts at 1.30pm.
Golden Square advanced to the match which matters most by winning last Saturday’s preliminary final against South Bendigo by five shots.
The Bulldogs marked a 14-86 to 4-81 victory against the Diggers.
Skippers for Square were Dylan Fisher, Brad Campbell, Andrew Brown and Bryce Young.
They face a huge challenge against Moama which beat South Bendigo in the second semi by 36 shots.
Steamers’ skippers are Kevin Anderson, Matthew Robertson, Alex Marshall and Cameron Keenan.
It’s two-nil Moama’s way in this season’s showdowns with Golden Square.
In round two the Steamers rolled their way to a 15-87 to 3-70 win on Square’s turf.
The ninth round featured Moama against the Dogs at Moama where the hosts marked a 13-shot win.
All other division grand finals are on Saturday from 1.30pm.
Bendigo will chase glory in divisions two, four and five.
The Magpies from Bendigo East are in divisions one and seven.
Castlemaine is in division six and Eaglehawk in division two.
Heathcote faces Marong in division three.
North Bendigo will roll up for the division six play-off.
A big afternoon for Strathfieldsaye includes play in divisions one, five and seven.
White Hills will contest the division four decider.
