The Linton Jacobs-coached Marong kept Maiden Gully YCW goalless in both of this season’s matches and next in their sights are Inglewood in Saturday’s eleventh round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Loddon Valley FNL.

Gun forward Brandyn Grenfell kicked 10 goals in Marong’s home win against the Eagles and looms as a huge threat to the Blues.

In-form players for the Panthers include ruckman Michael Bradbury, Nathan Devanny, Lachlan Lee and Jack McCaig.

Maiden Gully YCW is home at Marist College Bendigo to take on Bridgewater.

The Jay McDonald-coached Eagles could do little to stop Marong’s charge which has happened in most matches featuring the reigning premier in 2023.

The Rick Ladson-coached Bridgewater scored a hard-fought 14-point win against Mitiamo at home.

For just the second time this season, Newbridge will chase back-to-back wins.

Newbridge marked a welcome return to Beck Legal Riverside Oval by scoring a three-goal victory against Calivil United last Saturday.

It was the Maroons’ first home game of ’23 after repairs were made following extensive flooding.

The Sam Gale and Daniel Smith-coached Newbridge is up against Bears-Lagoon Serpentine this Saturday.

It’s a massive test for the Maroons against the third-placed Bears who won a crucial contest with Inglewood last round.

Refreshed by the bye, Pyramid Hill is home at Mitchell Park to take on Calivil United.

The Nathan Fitzpatrick-coached Bulldogs have a great mix of experience and young talent.

Calivil United played well to finish within 31 points of the Dogs in round one, but the task for the Anthony Dennis-coached Demons looks much tougher this time.

Inglewood is back home at Dissy Machinery Oval to take on Marong.

A loss at Serpentine last Saturday means the Darrell Billett-coached Blues are now eight points behind BLS in the fight to grab third place.

Mitiamo has the bye.
